Rules Adherence
- It is the responsibility of all competitors to protect the field at all times. This means that all competitors should be aware of any rule infractions incurred by himself or other competitors, and to insure that the rules are followed at all times. Since members are competing against players in other foursomes, it is everyone's responsibility to insure that all players adhere to the USGA Rules of Golf to insure fair competition for everyone.
- Any player observing an infraction of the rules of golf, or who disagrees as to proper procedure (i.e. dropping a ball outside a hazard, etc) must if possible, address the player to attempt to correct the situation immediately.
- If there is doubt that the rules of golf were not observed, you are required to report the circumstances to the rules committee before leaving for the day.
- — If a question arises as to the correct procedure to follow in a particular circumstance, the player may at his discretion announce his intention to complete the hole with two balls.
- — Any disputes, problems, or questions must be addressed to the rules committee immediately upon the completion of play. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
Speed of Play
- While we require and encourage members to follow the rules and etiquette of golf at all times, all players must be aware of their foursome's playing speed in relation to the groups in front of them.
- In general players should observe rules & proper etiquette by allowing the player furthest from the hole to play first.
- Foursomes that are falling behind are permitted to suspend the rules with regard to playing order so that they may catch up with the group in front of them.
- If your foursome is a hole behind the group in front of you, you should play READY GOLF. This means that any player that is ready should hit their shot, even if they are closer than another player who is not ready.
- Continue playing READY GOLF until you're back in position, and then return to the normal order of play.
- The members behind you will appreciate it!
Abnormal Ground Conditions
- Relief is given to any ball coming to rest in a french drain, whether or not containing
visible gravel or concrete.
- Relief is given to any ball coming to rest on a worn area adjacent to a cart path. These
areas are considered an extension of the cart path.
