Larry Niemczyk
26 Years of Service
Palatine Hllls Golf Association

Larry Niemczyk has been a member of the Palatine Hills Golf Association since 1980 and has been continually involved in its operation. He has been both board member and elected offical, serving as presiden tin 1988 and 1999 and secretary in 2011 and 2008. In 2011, in addition to being chairman of the Memorial Day Tournament, Larry servied as chairman of hte committee responsible for the creation of the PHGA Memorial Garden and Walk. The Garden and Walk were established at the Palatine Hills Golf Course in order to remember past PHGA volunteers and their contributions. Larry contineues to be an avid golfer and in 2011 accomblished the goal of scoring his age not once but two times. on June 23 and July 17, Larry recorded a 75, a great score at any age. The PGHA would like to recognize Laryy Niemczyk as a 2011 Volunteer of the Year not only for his efforts this year, but for the many years of service and dedication he has given to the association.

Larry was presented his award at the Palatine Park District Volunteer Recognition Luncheon on February 4, 2012 at the Cotillion in Palatine. Larry’s wife Colleen attended along with a table of members of the Palatine Hills Golf Association.
