Opening weekend at Palatine Hills. 17 Players on Saturday and 8 Players on Sunday. Pleasant Spring weather for golf after a long winter. We tested out Scott’s new PHGA scorecards which have room for your Name AND PHGA code. The scorecards even have all of the local course rules which are useful when your ball is touching the rail. We even had a reporter show up after the Saturday’s round to take player interviews. Mike Walocha gave up all of his swing secrets in the interview.

Gee, I see 2 cups of beer at Mike’s table and only him and the gal reporter present. Humm, trying to loosen her up a bit Mike? Beer might work. But as they say, liquor is quicker!
The reporter was a journalism student from Northwestern U. Too bad we didn’t have the usual suspects around when she walked into the clubhouse. She could have gotten enough material for a book if Soja, Bem and Dorsch were around.
