MOST IMPROVED PLAYER (MIP) program

The Most Improved Player (MIP) program (established in 2019) recognizes players showing the most improvement in their game for the season.

Here’s how it works:

1.    The membership will be broken into 3 flights based on index, not handicap.

2.   A player must have an established PHGA handicap at the start of the Permanent Tee Times (PTT).

3.   The MIP competition will run from the start of the PTT until the end of the PTT. In order to be considered, each player is required to play at least 10 rounds during sanctioned PHGA events (Thursday Pot games, weekend PTT, Holiday, and Travel Events).

4.   The winner from each flight will be presented with a jacket and cash award.

5.   Percent improvement is calculated as follows:

a.  Current index minus ending index divided by current index = % improvement.

b. Highest % improvement by flight wins for that flight.
