The PHGA Cup is an annual two-day team event held the second weekend of October.  The event mimics the bi-annual U.S./Europe Ryder Cup.

There are 4 teams of 8 players per team (total of 32 PHGA players).  Four captains will select their teams and set up pairings for the matches throughout the two-day format.

The Saturday matches are nine holes “better ball” in the front nine, and nine holes “alternate shot” in the back nine.

The Sunday matches are singles matches.

Each hole is worth one point, or ½ point in the case of ties.  There are 18 points per match.  First and second place winners are named based on total points.

This is one of the PHGA’s most popular events and with limited players it requires immediate sign-up once registration is opened.
