CDGA and the GHIN App

New for 2025, all CDGA members now have the ability to utilize the GHIN® app to post scores and maintain their Handicap Index. GHIN® is the official app of the USGA’s Golf Handicap Information Network. Key features include:

  • Score posting (total score, hole-by-hole score and hole-by-hole score with stats)

  • Stat tracking (number of putts, approach shot accuracy and driving accuracy)

  • Course maps and GPS

  • 3D course maps and enhanced GPS features, such as putt break map, approach shot heat map, shot tracking and more*

  • Smart watch integration

  • Games and group score keeping

  • A customized GHIN Rewind, which annually recaps your year in golf

There are two important items to note in relation to this enhancement:

Even if you choose to enter scores using a GHIN® product, you MUST still have a CDGA profile in order to partake in other member benefits, such as Chicago District Golfer magazine, CDGA Fantasy Golf, CDGA Member Perks, CDGA-conducted competitions and more. You can still post scores and manage your Handicap Index® through CDGA.org or the My CDGA app if you wish - this is meant to be a complementary option. All scores are routed to Centralized Computation for the Handicap Index® calculation, no matter the score posting method.
